‘Cascara' or ‘Coffeefruit’ is the dried skin of the coffee cherry. These skins are collected and dried in the sun to produce a tea-like texture. This by-product of the coffee bean often been additional agricultural waste by either being composted or tossed to livestock after harvest. Not anymore! We’re taking these beautiful skins and turning them into a delicious & refreshing sparkling iced tea. Although it is derived from the coffee plant, Cascara does not taste like coffee. It holds slightly sweet notes that resemble rose hips, hibiscus or cherry.
